its heavy pressure with little defence.

I would have to disagree with this, as the hexes in the build have great defensive potential if they're not used solely for the spike. From a holding poitn of view, I would rather have a team full of hexers reducing the pressure on your team than a bunch of warriors and ele's trying to do damage but not really getting anywhere.
As for Mantra of Concentration, I prefer Glyph of Concentration much more due to it's recharge and 100% coverage while you cast. Sure, they can get the interrupt on the Glyph of Concentration, but you can cast that whenever you want, and it would also mean 1 less interrupt on your Soul Barbs if you still choose to use it.

Recently, i have noticed that my build, that i was like 100% sure nobody is interested in, but hey, wth peoples are, so i guess ill give an another reply
I had seen a build on gw shack, and i must say i was amazed how close was it to mine. Linky - http://gwshack.us/forums/viewtopic.php?t=109
Or was it mine ? hmmm......The snare runner, illusion hexer are quite same. Oh well, guess they were inspired;P or it is just a weird coincidence.
Anyways, i have modified the build a bit Why? Well it gives a better variety of hexes, makes the foe like , 2/3 healing + 33% less benefit of healing, Infuse or death. It might look now as its slightly too much like the one on the site, but nah, i dont think that at all
Here it is , tadaaa!

Take your time to discuss;D

Read JR's posts at the beginning of the thread. SNA ran what I would consider a better version well before your first post here, and many others have run what is often referred to as SB/RI. It was a popular gimmick this past season, and while you may have discovered it for yourself, never assume that you were the first to discover it, or instrumental in getting it used by others. Most people blame OUT for popularizing the idea behind this build although they weren't the first to combine SB and RI.

Yeah, well at least i can say im the first one that mentioned it on the gwguru forum.:P Honestly i havent seen any other kinds of hex overload builds, or at least thats what i think. If not, i dont care, im just satisfied with this build
I was wondering, i dont like to read reply's a lot, Could you give me a build, containing 2 x 2 (+1 someone else) or 3 x 2 hex spikers, which you guys said could kill a target easily? Yes, it would be harder to call, 2 or 3 callers, but imo i think it could be effective. Im asking for that , because it would be a lot easier to make the build, when there would be just 3 kinds of people(monk set, hex spiker nr 1 , hex spiker nr 2) Or even, if that would be possible, only 2 kinds if those would be same. Any Ideas?

yeah Chooby has a good build there, need assassin's promise to keep the spike up...mark of death helps a lot too...I've seen it in GvG but never in HA, not too sure how it would work out.

WTF? Soul Barb spike OWNZ, ive had many r6-9+ teams get pwned by it, and i saw a rank 63 guild (was a few seasons ago, and im not going to name them) get destroyed by it, too be quite serious the only counters are Spell Breaker or convert Hexes

may i say LOL?
Soul barbs is easy to counter and beat. Especially the current build you offer.
Knock out the elite of the mesmer, kill the necro over and over again. No soulbarbs no spike. If you have a nice spike yourself its really easy to counter. And migrainers own these chasers. A PD will have the time of his/her live.
And for healing it, dont infuse just use Dwayna's kiss it heals for 200-300 then all those hexes give it a really nice boost. But i play really odd build myself too.
Just a question how does this work out against IWAY/VIM? They pack NR most of the time?

Pre-emptive coutners to this build:
Every interrupt under the sun
Responsive counters to this build:
Infuse Health + Convert Hexes
Infuse Health + Healing Seed
Dwayna's Kiss
My personal favorite: Preveiling and watching the 4 second Soul Barbs get cast on you.
Add vent to the above and like wow
Imo if you lose to soul barbs "spike" you should be shot on sight.

With SB and RI it does about 60 damage per hex. The damage does not get mitigated as far as I know and it will even go around protective spirit because it is two -30s rather than a -60. Even if you heal the damage, the hexes will add up. It is kind of the same concept as a boon prot (Healing + Protection), but rather on the offense (Damage + Hexes).

When I have played SB spike, we have used normaly two SB (one if someone been interrupted) and two Recurring mesmers (for a faster spike).
